Analysis Of Troubleshooting Methods For WXING Turbocharger Bearings

- Jul 12, 2023-

It is common for WXING bearings to fail during operation, so there is no need to make a fuss. When a fault occurs, judging and handling it is the key.
1. Bearing temperature is too high
When the mechanism is running, the position where the turbocharger bearing is installed is allowed to have a certain temperature. When you touch the mechanism shell with your hands, it should be normal if you don’t feel hot. Otherwise, it indicates that the bearing temperature is too high.
The reasons for the high temperature of the WXING bearing are: the quality of the lubricating oil does not meet the requirements or deteriorates, the viscosity of the lubricating oil is too high; the mechanism assembly is too tight (insufficient clearance); the turbocharger bearing assembly is too tight; Rotation; excessive load; broken bearing cage or rolling elements, etc.

2. Bearing noise
Rolling bearings are allowed to have a slight running sound during work. If the sound is too loud or there is abnormal noise or impact, it indicates that the bearing is faulty.
The reasons for the noise of rolling bearings are more complicated. One is the wear of the mating surfaces of the inner and outer rings of the bearing. Due to this kind of wear, the matching relationship between the WXING bearing and the housing, and the turbocharger bearing and the shaft is destroyed, causing the axis to deviate from the correct position, and abnormal noise is generated when the shaft moves at high speed. When the bearing is fatigued, the metal on its surface will peel off, which will also increase the radial clearance of the bearing and produce abnormal noise. In addition, insufficient bearing lubrication, dry friction, and broken bearings will all produce abnormal sounds. After the bearing is worn and loosened, the cage is loose and damaged, which will also cause abnormal noise and damage to the bearing.
1. For rough cleaning, use a brush to remove grease and stickies. After it is roughly clean, switch to fine cleaning. If the turbocharger bearing is rotated with dirt, it will damage the rolling surface of the bearing, so care should be taken.

2. Fine cleaning is to carefully clean the INA bearing while rotating it in the cleaning oil. In addition, the cleaning oil should always be kept clean.
Bearing inspection and judgment: In order to judge whether the disassembled bearing can be used, it should be checked after the bearing is cleaned.
The maintenance content includes: monitoring the running state, replenishing and replacing lubricants, and regular disassembly inspections. This is the operating standard for maintaining the best corresponding mechanical operating conditions and should be carried out on a regular basis. As inspection items during operation, there are rotation noise, vibration, temperature, and lubricant status. For separable bearings such as WXING bearings, the rolling elements and the raceway surfaces of the outer ring can be inspected separately.
Check the state of the raceway surface, rolling surface and mating surface, the wear of the cage, the increase of the clearance of the turbocharger bearing, and the damage abnormality that has nothing to do with the decrease in dimensional accuracy. For non-separable small ball bearings, use one hand to support the inner ring horizontally, and rotate the outer ring to check whether it is smooth.
